Testimonials

I chose a portable sawmill service business for many reasons, a few of which are, I enjoy working with equipment, wood, and a variety of people from whom I am always learning. Most importantly, it fit with who I am. I decided to retire from my position in a production sawmill and buy a portable sawmill. I am now providing a valuable service and education for our customers and my family.

Our Business Philosophy

The objective of our business is to provide a high quality product and reliable service for our customers. We hope you will enjoy visiting our web site and using our services as much as we enjoyed providing them for you.

Our Employees

All members of our family have been involved in the business in one way or another. We have all gained a greater understanding of trees, forestry, milling, lumber both hardwoods and softwoods. We all have learned how working together builds integrity, trust, honesty, and accoutability.
I am able to share my knowledge in educational settings. I am able to do this by doing demonstrations at local schools and collages on how the modern thin kerf sawmilling process is environmentally friendly, how yard trees can be processed into lumber for projects, and how old lumber can be reclaimed, as well as what resources are available locally and much more.

We have noticed a steady increase in quality as well as production. We feel this is from a dedication to producing a quality product, an aggressive maintenance program, in-house saw filing, and a strong desire to improve. We hope you can enjoy the benefits of our services as much as we enjoy serving your milling needs.

Our Portable Sawmill

Fully portable, we can set up and operate in an area of approximately 50'x50' and be milling in less than an hour.

Using thin kerf, narrow band technology we are removing less than 1/8th of an inch per cut.

Computer setworks can set to increments of 1/32 of an inch with the exception of the bottom board being a minimum of 3/4 of an inch thick.

Hydraulic loading and log turning abilities makes log handling more efficient.

We can produce product to a maximum of 28 inches wide.

Our production rate of 1 inch lumber is approximately 200 to 500 board feet per hour with a 12 inch average log size.

Target specifications is within 1/32 of an inch.

We can mill logs 8' to 20' in length and up to 36 inches in diameter on the large end.

We can mill larger diameter logs with a little extra care up to 42 inches diameter.

Support equipment (small forklift or tractor) is preferred on site or we can provide one with additional cost.

Our Sawyer

I have spent most of my life studying agriculture and forestry. I have knowledge in forest management and I have been inspired by the timber industry. I spent 15 years working in a high production sawmill doing everything from clean up to sawmill and planner superviser. In 2006 I left my position and decided to start my own portable sawmill service business. Portable sawmilling has many benifits for both our customers and our environment. Our customers are able to use there own trees for there projects and avoid the high costs of transporting logs and lumber to and from the sawmill. Our sawmill was engineered to be environmentally friendly with its thin kerf technology and lower emisions.I am very proud to be able to provide these benifits to our customers and to the environment.
